Oil $3.91/Gallon

My gf tells me the other day she called around for oil prices and someone told her $3.91/Gallon.

I'm locked in at $2.99 and I told her if it hits $4.00, she can come to my house and siphon out what she needs and pay me what I pay.

Funny but I hope no one is actually having to pay this b/c this is rediculous. I'll tell you what though, I usually keep my house at 72 all day long. Now I keep it at 70 and 72 at night. I'm home with the kids and we do not like being cold. Since my husband heard about the oil prices, my husband has been busy chopping firewood. Mind you he's never done it in his life. He's planning on doing enough so next year we can be less oil reliant

Wow, that price is crazy. I feel bad for her, and for anyone who has to buy right now.

I like a warm house too, I feel ya. When we weren't paying for heat, I'd keep it on 75 all the time!

Now, 70 is sufficient while we're there/awake. We turn it down to 65 at night though.

Insulation, windows, and carpeting make a big difference though. Our house is so much better at keeping heat in than our last apartment, so we don't feel a chill from drafts.

we locked in at $3.16 and we thought it was good.
But we really do have a good contract for service...maybe thats why we have a higher price.

Wow, that's crazy!

I just called a COD place out of curiosity and I was quoted $2.99. Your friend may be better off doing COD for a while.
