I've done it once or twice when we had major shopping to do & she was too little to sit up herself (DH was w/ me).

We did it a lot when she was very little and was in the infant seat/travel system.
DH would usually push the cart and I'd push the stroller.

I have, I usually walk to my local supermarket when I am not working. Sometimes I take the kid in the supermarket in the stroller in case if he is asleep in the car.

when Jacob was younger we had him in the stroller at the supermarket but now we put him in the cart...he likes the ride

I've done it for that reason. We walked up instead of driving. I've done it several times. I don't think it's weird at all. Especially if the weather is nice.
