OK -best drug store foundation, needs recs please
I need a new foundation desperately. I have REALLY dry, and red splotchy skin, its also dull. Im looking for something to not cake onto my face, not with a matte finish, good coverage, neutralize the red and moisturize...if it results in that dewy complexion look, even better.

i started using carmindy's line through cvs.com (they dont have it the stores near me)
i use the face primer and foundation and they are so light. like she says on the show, it lets your skin shine through but it totally evens me out. plus, if i want more coverage, you just add more and it never feels heavy. i love all of her products.
and whatever you order and dont like, you can return at a cvs store.

physicians formula is my favorite drugstore brand for foundation/concealer and i have very dry skin just like you. you may have to try a few of their options before finding the right fit.
i only wear foundation when i'm going to a wedding or something, so it doesn't pay for me to buy MAC for $$$ when I get PF for $8 @ harmon.

I have very very dry skin and am prone to dark circles, and this makes my skin look like I'm wearing airbrush makeup 
edit: just saw you don't want a matte finish. this provides great coverage, but you could always use a cream blush for a more dewy look

No. 7 brand (at target)- several different options within the brand, but I'd say stay away from the "stay perfect" as i definitely have to thin it out with moisturizer in the winter.

I have one of her eyeshadows...maybe Ill give the foundation a shot. THanks!

no prob!
like i said, theyre really light. ive only used them with the primer...and you need just a little primer, it goes a long way. same with the foundation. one pump is plenty for your whole face. she makes great concealer too.
