OK Disney Moms...I need your advice on an itinerary for a SHORT trip

We're going to Orlando for a conference in July and can't go without taking DC to Disney. We'll only have about 3 days to spend there, maybe a 4th if I can convince DH. So, given the short visit, what would you recommend we do? This will be DC's first time at Disney, and DD will be 7.

If you're doing 3 days (which I personally think is plenty) I would probably splurge on the park hoppers. I would do a full day in Magic Kingdom. Then I would probably do a morning in Animal Kingdom and the afternoon/evening in Epcot. The third day I would do Hollywood Studios and then revisit anything you feel you missed in MK or Epcot.

we went for two days
park hopper is a MUST
we did Magic Kingdom day 1
hollywood studios (could have skipped that one imo) then epcot day 2

did we see everything? no...but DD had a blast with where we did go

It depends on the type of trip you are looking for. Do you want the "we are only here for 3 days, and who knows when we will come back, so lets get as much done as possible" trip, or are you thinking " we only have a few days, we will probably be back in a year or so, so lets enjoy some stuff and have a relaxing time" trip...

For trip A get park hoppers, plan 1.5days at mk, .5-1 day at Epcot and. 5-1 day at animal kingdom. You can hop to Epcot for dinner and fireworks one night, say after AK closes, you can hop back to a park if you want to ride a certain ride again etc.

We are doing trip b this year. We are there only for 3 days, ds1 has been to wdw before and this is the first trip for ds2. We are not getting park hoppers, we are spending one day at each mk, Epcot and AK. But we are also planning pool time etc BC we know we will be back in a few years again.

I don't think you need a park hopper. We never hop. We just leave a park out. It's not a big deal since we go often. If you park hop, you will be missing a lot of things anyway in a short trip. I would spend 2 days at MK and pick the third day at Hollywood Studios or Epcot depending on the ages of your children.

I wouldn't bother with a park hopper, we did three days and did tons! First day at Hollywood Studios, next at Animal Kingdom and third at Magic Kingdom. To me, it would have taken too much time out of my short time there each day to go from park to park. Staying in one place was enough for us.
