OK DSLR ladies, I need your help regarding settings.

We are going to Washington D.C. tomorrow.

If I take pictures of the monuments all lit up at night, how would I set my camera (what ISO, flash on or off, etc).?

Does your camera have a night portrait setting? You night want to use that in a pinch.

Or else, the aperture (f-stop) should be the smallest to make the hole open as big as it can go to give you a lot of light. For shooting at night, in the dark, I would use the highest ISO you camera can go to (on mine its 1600). Just remember, the higher the ISO, the "grainer" your pictures will be.

And I would use the flash! It helps fill shadows and dark spots.
