Ok, how do you not gain weight when your kid starts eating real food?
Seriously, I can already see this becoming a problem. If I make her mashed potatoes-- I shouldn't be eating mashed potatoes...or pancakes...or anything else that is "healthy" for her but not necessarily good for those (like me ) who chubby thighs are not as cute as they are on a baby

Maybe if you do an exercise video in the morning (before she is up - or when she naps) that would motivate you to be good the rest of the day.

I’m already trying to figure out when I can exercise, it’s daunting. I already get up at 5:45am during the week, to be out of the house by 7am. I hate exercising at night and not showering afterwards, but I may have to. I work FT, so nap times are not possible for me, unfortunately. But I agree, I need to find time to work out!

Well she eats a lot of what we do - so if have chicken and veggies I will make it for her as well I just make a smaller portion and less seasoning or none depending on what I am making. If I make something like a pancake I only make one and it is a small one so just enough for her to eat so I don't end up with much left over. She loves to snack on cheerios which I don't like and fruit - so if I steal a little piece of fruit at least I don't feel too bad about it.

I'm guilty of this also. I try to make only enough for him. I also try to eat just before he does so I'm not hungry. Sometimes I'm good, soemtimes not. I guess if I eat too much of his food I try to limit my next meal.

I think it takes a LOT of willpower. Ben eats what we eat so it's hard not to want to take little bites of this or that. I've started drinking water while I feed him and every time I want to take a bite of his food, I take a drink of water instead. Seems to be working.
As for working out, are you into walking or running? The best investment I've made since DS was born was his jogging stroller. I run about 12-15 miles per week and would have a hard time doing it if I couldn't take him with me.
