OK, i am watching TV again -DIY manufactured stone?
The people have a $15,000.00 budget for thier kitchen make over. A lady was talking about "true stone" is beautiful and requires maintenance, but manufactured stone can be just as beautiful and requires less maintenance.
they showed a shot of it and it looks sort of like granite with the colors and beveled edge.
has anyone ever looked into this?
i am just curious, i never knew such a thing existed.

Was it engineered quartz, like Silestone or Cambria? We're putting a Cambria countertop on the vanity in our bathroom. I'll have pics of the finished bathroom in a week or two. Our cabinet shop told us that Cambria was the only manufactured quartz that is made in the US which was an added plus in my book. We're using Coswell Cream.

I don't think it's a lot less expensive but it may depend on the size you're looking at - it may be alot more expensive to get a huge expanse of natural stone compared to the composites.
