Macs have had that weird disc eject thing since the beginning of time, i have never understood why there was even an eject button when you always end up dragging it to the trash. I have been using apple since the Apple IIe, it is just one of those oddities I guess

yea i don't get that as well, depends on the cd/dvd for the eject button but everything that needs to be close/ejected (like a thumb drive) needs to be in the trash to work properly.
