Ok, I have a confession, I am not happy or proud about it, but I have to "say" it....

I am still wearing maternity clothes. Why? Because nothing else I own fits. I just went thru BINS of clothes and I don't think there was even ONE thing that I can wear now, or even in the near future.

I have done NOTHING to try and lose weight and I am almost 11 mos PP. Next weekend we have a wedding and that was my goal. My goal to lose at least my pregnancy weight. Meanwhile I have put ON weight.

I am very upset with myself, and I have no one to blame but myself.

I have made excuse after excuse. It's time I STOP the excuses. STOP the unnecessary and unhealthy snacking. It's time is START doing something about this.

I just told all this to DH, and my biggest reason for all this (aside from health reasons), is we want to TTC in Nov, and I REFUSE to get PG at this (or a higher) weight.

I see so many of you ladies (which are such an inspiration) who have lost or are losing weight. . . . Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon kudos. I hope I can do it too.

Thank you for letting me get this out.

you can do it, just put your mind to it and start now.
And even if you fall off the bandwagon, get right back on.....

Good Luck!

ITA. I didn't have motivation for a long time since it was winter and I was bundled up -- but now that summer is lurking - I need to get rid of the baby belly.

We're here if you need us!

We can support each other! I just started WW online in January - 9 months post partum - and I've lost 11.5 pounds. I still have 28.5 to go, but I'm motivated. I slacked off for a few weeks, but I'm back on track!!

Good luck!

I know how you feel. I have a tough time losing weight. I know WW works for a lot of women. My DH just started Herbalife and lost 12lbs in the first month doing nothing! I'm going to try it after I give birth. If you want any more info, fm me.

Jill, I hear ya! I still have 10 lbs. of baby weight to lose and would like to lose an additional 10 lbs. (that shouldnt have been there in the first place Chat Icon). I am sooo tired by the time I could actually go to the gym, I dont. But I am trying to cook and eat healther for both DH and myself and plan on getting back into the gym, even if it is only 2 days a week, it is something.

I could never motivate after my first knowing that I'd just put the pounds on again in the second pregnancy. Now that I've had my two I'm on weight watchers and its working great. If you are ready now, do it! We are here to cheer you on. (mmm 94% fat free popcorn.....)

Lots of people don't magically lose the baby weight--I have not either and I'm still in many of my maternity clothes.

It's hard, but it will come off. I have to reconcile myself to the idea that this is going to be very slow, unless I drastically reduce my food consumption, and that's not good. This past month, I have been really watching snacks, trying to make sure I don't take more food than I need and watching dressings and cheese, two things I love. Also started walking more, and I did lose a few pounds
Still, for the summer I've decided to pick out some new clothes, maybe in another month or so. I will not be back at my old weight, so I'll probably go somewhere inexpensive and pick out a few things so I can ditch the maternity clothes. I find them depressing. So this is my other piece of advice--get a few things that fit you now. If you feel better about yourself, you may find it easier to not overeat.

You can do it! I gained a ton of weight and haven't lost it yet. I've been busting my butt working out, and although I haven't lost weight yet I am noticing a difference in the way my clothes fit.

For motivation, put up an old picture of yourself or buy an outfit in your old size.

Thank you ALL SOOO very much for your encouraging words.

I am joining Weight Watchers tomorrow. I'd go today, but DH is working and no one around to watch DS.

I also have the phone # of a local boxing/karate place to see how much their kick-boxing classes are. It's 2 doors down from MIL's deli, so I can potentially leave Troy there!

I am feeling so good.

I also talked with my SIL last night, and she is feeling the same as me. She confessed to me that she wears a "girdle" everyday!

Again, Thank you ALL!

I just did that! It's actual a photo from 3 days before my wedding, at my work shower. When DH saw it he said "Wow, look how skinny you were there" How he is still breathing, I don't know! Chat Icon

You can do it!!! Don't be so hard on yourself. It took me the longest time to lose all of the pregnancy weight. Weight Watchers was a godsend for me, I hope it is for you too!!!Chat Icon
