OK, I have a winter coat fetish
and Macys.com is already having a coat sale. I have like 4 winter coats (all different), but my JCrew peacoat is getting messy; it's my classic black one and i think I want a new one...I also want a new puffer. What about you guys?

Re: OK, I have a winter coat fetish
I had a problem with winter coats, but then when I realized I had so many, I didn't buy any (ok, maybe just 1!!) the last 2 years.
Now, I've decided it's time for a new one(s). I want a camel colored knee length wool coat. I also need a superwarm down coat for commuting (I take the express bus and have to wait outside). I am probably going to get one to my knees or possibly full length. I originally was going to buy one from North Face, but I'm considering getting one from Lands End. The Lands End coats are a lot less $$ and seem really warm.

Ooohhh...check out the ones on Macys.com. They are fab! I have a beige wool coat, a fur-collar puffer (but want new), a black dressy peacoat (want new!) and a tweed b&white coat from Ban.R that DH got me. Wait...I have a short leather distressed one, too. But I *really* do need one or 2 new ones! LOL!

Re: OK, I have a winter coat fetish
I don't know exactly how many winter coats I have, but it's way more than necessary.
Assuming I can find what I want, this year's purchase will be something in dark purple wool...

I will definitely check it out!!!! I am very good at rationalizing why I "need" something

Re: OK, I have a winter coat fetish
i hear you. i have never been the type to have only one coat that goes with everything.
i have 4 pea coats - black, cream, camel, and black/white tweed
2 north face denali jackets (one newer one for looking "nice", one older one for walking the dog and playing in the snow)
i'm looking to buy a puffer/ski jacket as well - possibly an outer shell north face that i can zip my denali into
of course, all of these jackets have been accumulated over the years - i tend to buy classic styles that i never want to get rid of!

Re: OK, I have a winter coat fetish
I have a few too.... Which is funny because I hate wearing a coat!!
I have a knee length Anne Klein Quilted Down Coat. It's green in color, not shown here, but its the same coat:
I have a black wool coat from Macy's with a faux fur hood. It's a little dressy.
I have a Columbia yellow and blue ski jacket. I don't even ski, I wear it out when playing with the kids in snow.
My everyday coat is a white quilted one from Lands End.
