ok I have to know about the Urban Decay Naked palette thing - what's the craze?
So I enjoy some Urban Decay products and own a palette and I really love the color "ride a cowboy at midnight" or whatever it is.
but what's the craze with this Naked palette?

I don't know ...I had to research myself..I'm no that great applyiing shadow...but the colors on this palette look so pretty so I put myself on the list for them to notify me..I want it.

To be absolutely honest...there's nothing significantly special about UD or their shadows. Their Naked collections just are great basic colors for most folks. I get excited because I'm a makeup junkie. I need more shadows like I need a whole in my head.

I didn't think they were a big deal UNTIL I had a waitress who had them on and it looked amazing! If you apply well the colors are gorgeous!

I just got it and I am returning it.
I find the color saturation great but it does not go on smoothly without primer.
I have other shadows that do not need primer. I'm returning it for the Stila palette which has my favorite kitten color.
The blue which I was most excited for is too dark for me. Made my dark circles look even worse even with all of the concealer I use.
I was really disappointed.

It's 48 bucks, I think that's pretty good considering one of their shadows is $17 - it comes with a mini makeup primer and a brush...

Yeah, that's what I was excited about. Returned that and the 24/7 waterproof liner today. It irritated my eyes. First time a liner did that. I was really hoping it would be good.

I'd consider those more greys than blue.
And that stinks about the eyeliners! I LOVE them!!!

No it does not. They are called "Naked" because they are all neutral colors. I have the first Naked palette also and that color on the end is a dark "Gunmetal" silver it just looks blue in the picture you chose.

I have the 1st palette and creep & gunmetal (the last 2 colors) look horrible on me. They don't seem neutral at all & definitely bring out the blue undertones in the skin around my eyes.
I also don't like darkhorse--it just looks dirty on me, but I love toasted & halfbaked.
I don't like the eyeliner either--it doesn't irritate me, but it runs like crazy.

the pic on the website made it look blue too and that's what I thought I was getting. Definitely not neutral on me and I was looking for a rich blue not gunmetal which is terrible on me.
It's hard to find a blue that looks good I think. I have blue eyes and would like to highlight that a bit more but the gray/metal didn't work.
eta: overall these colors did not go on smoothly. I know with primer they could but I don't regularly use primer.
I'm going to order the Stila palette today.

I think Make up Forever & MAC make some intense blues. I found MUFE didn't blend well, but I only tried one color (a matte brown)
