Ok I need your HELP, need to write a paper...
It's a definition paper, so i wanted to see what your thoughts were.
What does the word "Hero" mean to you.
Who would you classify a hero?
Thank you to anyone who responds I really appreciate it!
Do you usually think of a man or woman?
Anyone specific you can think of?
Example (fireman, movie star, parent?)

a hero is someone who would put their life on the line for you. i would consider my dad, all fireman and police officers, heros.

Those that rise above; who give of themselves selflessly. Those who put their duties and responsibilities above their own needs.
Ex: Military, police, fireman. Teachers, doctors, good samaritans, etc.

could be a whistle blower
could be a fireman
could be a mom
someone that risks their life or reputation or their own values for better good

I would define a hero as someone who is selfless, brave and is willing to risk everything to help or benefit another. I don't think of a hero as gender specific. I think it can be anyone- my grandmother, those who helped others on 9/11, etc.

I think a Hero is someone who helps people or Animals.
I think anyone can be a hero.
I think the Fireman who saves lifes the medics, doctors the men and women who are fighting a war far from home. The Policemen who try to keep us safe. The dogs and cats who wake there owners up and let them know about fires in the house.
