ok im in total tears right now! sorry wrong board
I dont know if im doing wrong or what.. (and please if you cant be nice dont answer) My boys have taken bottles to bed. I know its bad.... but i did what i could for having 2 and being bymyself... anyways... i got them off the acutal bottle but they then went on to a nuby kinda botttle... it has a sippy cup feel but still a nipple in away...
well i want them off that. so i bought another nuby bottle but its more sippy cup still a silicone top but the sippy cup style. well joseph took to it no problem... anthony is my problem. he is in his room right now SCREAMING i want a baba. i am refusing to give it to him i gave him the cup thingy. He is still screaming and crying its been about 15 min. what do i do? do i stand to my thoughts on this and let him continue to cry? or do i give in and give him the darn bottle and try again another day?
he keeps getting up out of his bed and coming in to me screaming crying, im picking him back up putting him back in with the cup. god help me please!!!

don't give in....
i don't have children, but i am a teacher and have worked with young children.
i know it sucks, but he has to learn, and the only way toddlers learn is by you being consistent. when you do something, you have to follow through or they walk all over you. you have made modifications and have been graually weaning him. now it's time to cut the cord. good luck!!! p.s. he'll be fine!!!!

Don't give in. I know it's hard but he will stop crying after awhile. How old is your son?

hes 2 1/2 .... i know bad. i did what made things easier with the twins... KWIM???
thanks guys! im seriously crying as hard as he is right now.. this is sooo hard!

it is hard, but he's testing you. he wants to see if he can get what he wants. you know he's not hurt or in any danger, so try to ignore the crying. it's hard too because they sound so miserable, but really he's fine. he's smart--he's testing you.

I'm not a parent but just wanted to offer some 
As for your question, I'm pretty sure my mom would say stay strong and hold your ground. He needs to learn and will eventually subside and stop crying. I know she has said that in the past to my brother and sister when they've spoken to her about their kids and similar issues.

Stand Strong he will eventually stop crying and he wont want the bottle, He is just use to having a bottle and it will take time for him to get use to the sippycup.

I'm so sorry. No one is judging so don't worry Your son will be fun. You will be fine. Just let him cry it out. He will fall asleep and wake up OK. Hopefully seeing his brother taking to the cup will help too.

Don't give up now- you have come so far already. He will be ok.
I have a DD who is still on bottles as well at 21 months. Not in her bed but before naps and bedtime- 2 a day. We are dropping the nap one next week and the night one the week after and going straight to sippys. I am dreading it- I know your pain! Especially when they can talk and ask for it.

Don't feel bad for any of the decisions that you made. We all do what we have to to get by.
If you are ready to have him go to the sippy cup, then stand your ground. Luckily your other son took nicely to it, so maybe seeing that will help your other son. Good luck

I haven't reached this stage with DD but just want to let you know do what's in your gut...whether you give in or not doesn't make you a good/bad parent...just a parent who knows your child.
Sometimes I think for our own sanity we also have to do things that may go against the books KWIM...that in no way makes you a bad parent.

OMG!!! thank you ladies!!
hes asleep now.. god i cant believe how hard that was... i hope this wont be this hard again later tonite for bed time...
seriuosly thank you all!!! i feel better knowing you felt the same as i did for standing my ground... they dont drink from sippys or bottles all day... its either a regualr cup or a juice box. I just cant nix the bed thing... jospeh barely drinks the cup or bottle(when he had it) hes been off the bottle for the past 3 days now. he takes it and puts in onthe night stand next to his bed.. he sips and puts it back.
now to keep anthony on the right track!
