ok, it's a needless expense... but boy do I love it!
I'm trying to avoid plastic dishes/containers (it's a work in progress, but I'm doing my best to eradicate plastic dishes from not only DS's but also our lives )
well, DS is now staring at us while we eat... pretty soon he'll be starting solids... so it's time for a dish and baby utensils... and a sippy cup.
I wat to avoid porcelain for obvious reasons... so I looked for stainless....
check this set out totally stylish and totally dishwasher safe!
It was a little $$$, but worth it IMO since it's both pretty and practical.... Image Attachment(s):

Cool! I am looking for something safe and microwaveable. Does that exist except in glass?

Cute!
I've been using those small pyrex bowls as much as possible and I have saved the glass baby food jars so when I use my own food I can just put it in that to heat it up.

no not to my knowledge, at least. I decided I'd nuke in one of our dinner bowls, or a small pyrex dish and transfer it to the metal bowl.... I can envision him pitching his bowl on the floor with great regularity, so I'm going to try to avoid ceramic and glass as his serving dishes...
For the sippy cup, I believe it's impossible to completely avoid plastic... so we're going to get a kleen kanteen with an thermal sleeve and a BPA free sippy lid. So, if he doesn't need a lid, it will be all metal... if he needs one, it will at least be BPA free....
