OK- It's Day 3 and I am getting bored already.
I am following a diet given to me by a nutritionist. It's day 3 and I am getting bored with the limitations. I don't know how I am going to do this for 4 Weeks. I hope after the four Weeks he adds some more options.

You can do it Danielle, Yes it was hard for me in the beginning to, But, It does get easier and also like gail said talking to a friend or anyone through e-mail works... We are here for you, I'm here for you if you want to talk.

Thank you, I appreciate everyone's support. I've been hungry for the last 3 days, but I guess I have to get use to it. The only snacks I can have are fruit, veggies or a few almonds.

I've been trying. The first two days I got my 9 glasses of water in. Today I am having a hard time. The doctor says I am retaining a lot of extra water.

Yes, definately drink your water.
After the first two weeks, it will be easier. You are training your body right now. eat lots of salads and veggies, they really fill you up.

Whats the plan, i went to a nutritionist and got an amazing plan that worked before i was preg it was just soo boring...pretty much chicken, apples, berries and oatmeal...lol

My plan is basically:
4 fruits daily (from list) 2 cups of veggies daily (from list) Chicken, Turkey, Pork or Beef (5-7oz) for lunch and dinner 2 pieces of bread daily either pumpernickel or rye 2 eggs daily
I am allowed up to 8oz. of either almonds or walnuts for the week and a list of condiments
I have high cholesterol as well as needing to lose weight.

Danielle try your best to hang in there, you can discuss these issues at your next meeting. It is definitely important that they create a plan that you can live with....but....
Remember that you are doing this for your HEALTH and that is just SO incredibly important - without health you've got nothing.

It is for a variety of reasons. Wheat and wheat gluten is a high allergy food - so much so, that many of us are allergic to it, but we don't pay attention to certain digestive "signs" and therefore, don't realize. I know there is a very big campaign about "whole grains" and all...but wheat (gluten) is not good for weight loss.
Rye (and rye flour) has alot more fiber than wheat, less sugar and carbs and consequently has less impact on your blood sugar levels, which is why it is recommended by nutritionists for people trying to lose weight/battle diabetes or blood glucose issues. HTH!

I'm not really sure, but I believe it has to do with the above post. Besides natural carbs from fruits and vegetables, this is the only carb I am allowed.
