Brown blood = old blood
Red blood = new blood

Brown should be just fine. Are you cramping as well or just the brown discharge?

I had light pink spotting at the exact same time TOTALLY NORMAL you may be a late implanter or just old blood dont panic no cramping right????

the cramping seemed to have spotted, havent in a while... they weren't bad at all the cramps. But just went to the bathroom before and there was some spotting on my underwear, and not when I whiped...sorry tmi

Usually brown spotting, especially this early on in the pregnancy, is no worry at all. It happened to me twice, around 6 weeks, and again around 9, but both times, it was just small brown spotting and only lasted no more than a day. If it lasts longer than a day or two, turns bright red, and/or is accompanied by cramps that don't get better, then call your doc. But it is VERY common at the stage you are at to experience a little light brown spotting here and there!
