Awww - she'll always be your little girl!

Now, as for what she should wear, I would say a sundress would be cute. I don't think you need to have her hair done, but I think press-on nails would be okay.

Good luck Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Aww, i can't even imagine how I'm going to handle it once my daughter grows up.
I agree, a nice sundress should be fine.

I agree with the sundress, that would be really cute, I wouldn't go overboard and get her hair done. You could probably do something nice with it, and press on nails seem fine to me.

Well, you're talking about press-on nails that you buy at like Walgreens, right? I wouldn't do acrylic nails at a salon.

IMO having your hair done isn't something you do until prom. The only thing I would possibly consider with hair is if she's due for a haircut, to have it done that way so it's blown out nice. Other than that, i wouldn't get the hair done.

I agree with a dress, and maybe just do her hair alittle special at home. Maybe use rollers or a curling iron and put some loose curls in, maybe pull som back (not sure if she has long or short hair..?)
I'm not a big fan of the press on nails, but that's just me

Re: ok my daughters dance is a little over a week

I have boys , but if I had a daughter I am the type of mom who would get her ehair done. I would have he rin a dress and get her a manicure. Not tips, No acrylic anything just a nice simple manicure so her nails were nice looking maybe a simple french tip or a nice pale pink polish

I wouldnt use anything cause its part of nature but I would use maybe one of the soap clensers. You dont want to dry her face out

When I was younger I always used Noxema. I'd use something gentle, and then maybe something for spot treatment.

are her friends getting their hair done? If so - then maybe I would let her. You wouldnt want her to feel left out at her first dance.

A sundress is perfect by the way.

I would go with a cute sundress and maybe stick some rollers in her hair or use a curling Iron and give her a few curls.
IMO I would not let her do the press on nails. I just don't like that for younger girls. But for the same price as a box of those press on nails she can get a manicure! I think that is alot nicer. JMHO Chat Icon

SHe's 10 right?
That seems young for a manicure, yet press-on nails seem like playing dress up, I guess that' why I think that is ok. I tihnk it a situation like theis, it is ok, to let her do what her friends are doing. I know that's not always the best advice, but I think it works here unless her freinds are going in bikinis!

Re: ok my daughters dance is a little over a week

IMO, I would nix the press on nails and instead treat her to a manicure yourself by painting her nails a pretty color. I just don't like the press on nails personally, and I think it might be a bit much for a 10 year old girl. The sundress sounds really cute, and I'm sure if you style her hair in a pretty, yet simple way, that she's going to look adorable! You'll have to post pics so we can all share this wonderful moment with you and your little girl! Chat Icon

Re: ok my daughters dance is a little over a week

I just saw the rest of your question - for zits, use tea tree oil. The Body Shop sells it, it's very gentle on your skin and it gets rid of blemishes really fast!
