Re: ok my husband was 18 million...his semen count
World Health Organization guidelines say a normal sperm count consists of 20 million sperm per ejaculate, with 50 percent motility and 60 percent normal morphology (form). The amount of semen in the ejaculation matters, too. If the concentration is less than 20 million sperm per milliliter of ejaculate, it may impair fertility. Still, if the sperm show adequate forward motility -- the ability to swim -- concentrations as low as 5 to 10 million can produce a pregnancy.
It's interesting to note that only 25 years ago, counts of 100 million sperm per ejaculate were the norm. With time, the effects of our toxic environment and/or lifestyle seem to be gradually degrading male sperm counts

Re: ok my husband was 18 million...his semen count
alot of things can effect sperm count, including smoking, diet, supplements etc.
DH has sperm counts a little higher than this last year and we started acupuncture..HUGE difference. He also changed his diet (no Red Bull anymore), and stopped a supplement he was taking from GNC...
Also, alcohol can play a big factor as well.

Why don't you try giving him some vitamins that are for fertility. GNC has some that helped my dh!

That's not it...it's because the sperm need a GPS and the egg(s) need to have a neon BLINKING sign that says "INSEMINATE ME".

How was the motility? Morphology?
Good question....it is not only the number of sperm that is important but motilty and morphology is even more important...
You can have 100-200mil sperm but if only 5% is normal it might prevent you from getting pregnant.....
Check your report for the other numbers!!
