ok.. tell me im doing good.....
Ok sooo my lil men are starting there first day at preschool tomorrow. they are 2. they will be going 3days a week 3 hours aday. I had been really fine and ok with them going upo till this moment. I am actually starting to give myself a panic attack over it. im tearing just writing this. i have NEVER left them in a strange place like this before.. yes they have stayed at my MIL's over nite or at a friends for like an hour tops... i dont even know why im freaking out right now but i am!!!!!

You will be fine. The 3 hours go fast for you probably too fast. Just think of all the things you can get done without interuption. Not to mention they are going to have a blast.
I teach Kindergarten and always tell my children that I think all the Mommies and Daddies were scared but that they were so brave. They usually get a big kick out of that.

 I feel the same way- My lil' man starts tomorrow also (well, orientation so DH & I will be there with him) 2x a week, 3 hours a day...I'm a nervous wreck and the place is literally less than a block away...We didnt even have intentions of sending him until he was 3 going on 4 (he's 2 now), but after I was put on "modified" bed-rest for this pg. , we thought it might be a good thing for him to get to get out of the house for a bit instead of being couped up with me  I'm secretly sad though because he has been my little side-kick for so long, but deep down I know he's going to have fun- us poor mommies and what we have yo go through

They are going to be fine...
Of course you are worried, scared, anxious, anxiety riden, etc...they are you're little boys and for the first time you have to let go just a little.
At times like this...like the one I had this morning..I like to remind myself that it's our job to get them ready to live their lives. It's hard for me to explain really. I look at as though they are a part of our lives but we arent a part of theirs. They havent lived their lives yet. It's our job as parents to get them ready for the great big world beyond....to mold them into who they will be. To give them the confidence and power to succeed.
I know that's a little much b/c they are only 2. But it will be good for them to be "out in the world" for a few hours every week....

this is SO well said beautifully written!.... i know this isn't my post but my DD started daycare this week at 14 months and i am DYING here, feeling guilt, sadness, anxiety etc....when i read this i just thought, wow, i never ever thought of it that way. thanks again

Aw, you have every right to feel panicked! That's a big step but just remember that they are going to LOVE it and do so well there! Try and enjoy the little break that you have while they are there too. Soon it will become routine and they will talk about it all the time and this will be a distant memory. Hang in there! OMG-they are soooo going to love it and they have each other!!! The time goes by so quick-they will think you were gone for a half an hour!! Also all those new toys to play with-yeh!! You go grab a coffee and by the time you drink it and get back the time is over!! Once you see the teachers smiling face you will feel better and after 2 days it will be like nothing!!!!

I will be experiencing this tomorrow. I am nervous as well. But I plan to keep myself busy by going food shopping and getting other things done around the house.
I got emotional today when I went to drop off paperwork and saw the OTHER children playing outside.

omg Aeriell! u raised the strongest sweetest smartest 2 little boys...they NEED this. It goes sooooooooo fast...
clean up---make some cookies for them and it will go sooooooo fast..
It is bittersweet but a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!
