ok tell the truth
I've read that we're not supposed to put baby hair in rubberbands b/c it's so fragile and it can pull it out and leave bald spots, but when I look around I see other moms doing it all over the place. And I saw a baby version in a pack at Claire's the other day. Truth time- who puts rubber bands in their girl's hair? And any problems since you've been doing it? Do they cry when you put them in?

no really, you don't. be careful what you wish for. Think about how hard it is to do something like get them to sit still long enough to change their diaper while they're rolling over on you or cut their nails once they're moving around and then picture trying to style their hair I don't know if I'm a doofus or what but I get ready to attempt a pony tail and I look at her hair and start to collect some and I'm like how? It's long enough to be in her eyes but there's still so little of it. It's so thin. I have those covered bands like we use for our own hair but she doesn't have enough hair for those that's for sure.

Re: ok tell the truth
I do all the time. I have to, she can't see if I leave her hair down and she pulls all the clips out. I am afraid to leave a clip all the time because I hear scary things about choking on them. She does not have a bald spot. She doesn't love it but she is used to me playing with her hair, she was born with a lot so I have been brushing it since she was born.

Re: ok tell the truth
I don't use rubber bands. I tried and hair always came out with them. I used the soft kind of rubber bands coated in cloth. DD did used to cry when I took them out too so I searched for the small size in the softer kind.

Well I haven't done the ear piercing and I don't know if its the hair or people just assume all twins are b/g but I always get people asking what they are - I can't wait until they show some sign of being true girls - that's why I can't wait for some hair!

Re: ok tell the truth
really I didnt know that. I think I would use them, her hair is really thin right now but if it was thicker I def would use those cute colored rubberbands.

They have these new ones that look like rubber bands but are plastic. They work best IMO.

Actually I think that is what I use. They are more like plastic then rubber.

Thats what I use and she does cry when I do her hair but I have to because otherwise it is in her face....you'd think she'd be used to it by now but...

Re: ok tell the truth
I use the rubber bands that I use in my hair, if she is in a mood she pulls out everything else, If I don't her hair is in her face, I am trying to grow her hair all one length (no bangs)..

Well if it makes you feel any better, she's got plenty of hair and they still ask how old is he? even when she's wearing head to toe pink go figure!

I put the ouchless rubber bands in Julia's hair, she does say ouch when I take them out sometimes, but I think its because of my long nails--lol
