Ok. We have a meetup group on Mon and on Fri. Does anyone want to to do one in the middle of the week? And maybe a little further north?
Sorry for the extremely long subject line.
I don't have any concrete places mind at the moment, but I'd like to have a group to meet up with in the middle of the week too.
Maybe Holtsville Ecology Center or Lake Ronkonoma?

I can't do a set day every week, but we are right around the block if you want to meet up one day. We may go to West Meadow Beach tomorrow if you want to join us.

A good place for walking is Heritage Park, and then let the kids play on the playground after.

Definitely! And now they have the snack/ice cream bar too!

What about sunken meadow park? Isnt there a boardwalk and stuff there? I was never there so I personally have no idea but it looks nice...

There is a boardwalk, and the beach, but admission just went up to $10. I don't know if the mommies are looking for only free stuff.

Absolutly!! Count me and Peanut in!! I need more days out of the house... specially if it's closer to me!! Next Mon I'll finally be doing Argyle... LOL. I hope so at least LOL. I need more days out of the house to see more big people LMAO

My kids will have no interest taking a walk- they will just want to run toward the playground- but that's b/c they are older...2 and 3.

Sunken Meadow is kind of far for me, I was thinking maybe somewhere a little further east.
The problem for me is I don't know anywhere LOL, I actually used to live pretty close to Sunken meadow, so I know that area, not where I live now!
Sunken Meadow also gets very, very crowded in the summer (once school is out).

SNACK BAR?!?!?!? This I did not know. I remember last year with the construction and the guys said they were building bathrooms. Now I am excited!

Could we make it somewhere that takes the Empire pass? I got a FB invite for West Meadow, but you have to be a resident. I think it would be great if we made a standing beach day GTG, but at a beach where everyone could get in.

If you have an Empire Pass, it works at Sunken Meadow. They have a really nice boardwalk, and a path that goes around the river, which is beautiful! I go almost everyday! The beach is also nice (very sandy, not rocky like most northshore beaches) and no waves for us to dunk our LOs in! It's great! They also have a nice playground too!

I had no idea they were making it until we just went last week! It's a Mister Softee's, but they also have hot dogs, pretzels, etc. Right next to the playgrounds.
I also think this is a good place since they do have two playgrounds - one for the older kids and one for the younger babes!
