Ok well we signed another home contract!! Keeping our fingers crossed with this home!!UPDATE
We are hoping this home goes thru not like the last one where we waited almost 7 months to hear an answer back from the bank!! Short Sale. This one is another short sale but only one mortage on the home. Sellers attorney seem to be on top of things!!
We just heard the bank counter offered we will see what's going to happen!! If it goes thru we could be closing before the end of April if not sooner

is the attorney the one dealing with the bank?
banks (and the investors that bought the loans) really need to find away to streamline this process!

Yes the lawyer is!! They do need a process for these short sales.

ok good! that "should" work out better
I know alot of realtors are taking them on now- and they really don't know what is involved in the negiotion and the paperwork that must be submited from the borrowers
a new process is suppose to be in place this spring- but I will believe it when I see it

a new process is suppose to be in place this spring- but I will believe it when I see it
Gotcha let me pick your brain for a second the first home we were in contract for SS for over 8 months back out of it and found this home another SS.
I looked on MLSLI and that original home is back on MLSLI and for less money then we offered?? The home has been on the market for over a year what gives??

I saw this happen with a short sale we were looking at and it turned out real estate bought it up when it was in short sale and then relisted it for a lower price. it was no longer a short sale then either

FM me the address or the MLS number
I have seen this alot - I have also seen the price go UP
they could have gotten the price approved from the bank
they could have just lowered the price
I will take a look at it

real estate owned is bank owned (REO/foreclosure)
so it went to auction (didn't sell) and now is owned by the bank
most of the time the bank lists it for less then they could have could have gotten on a short sale- I just had it happen to a client with an house in AZ...we listed it locally- they had an offer for $150k bank wouldn't extend the auction date and now it's listed for $135k
