Okay, after read your posts about Key West

I am thinking of researching other places to go for a 3 night/4 day long weekend end of Jan/beg of Feb.

Basically we want a destination where we can:

1. Take a short flight (3 hours at the most)
2. With beautiful beaches & warm weather
3. Good snorkeling
4. A fun night life
5. Good restuarants

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure about the snorkeling though I think so.... but we had a nice time in Captiva, FL (fly into Fort Meyers)

We stayed at South Seas Resort

Friends of ours always stay at 'Tween Waters Inn in one of their pretty cottages.

Some restaurants

Captiva and Sanibel resturant Menus

The Island Cow in Sanibel was fun for breakfast and lunch. (yummy Conch and Shrimp Fritters)

HTH

Bubble Room Restaurant, Captiva

Stay in Playa Del Carmen (you fly into Cancun) and take the ferry to Cozumel for diving/snorkeling. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in Playa, but if you're looking for more party style nightlife you can go into Cancun (about a 40 min. drive)

I love Captiva

I was just there on Sunday. Spent the day at the beach and just relaxing. Captiva is so secluded and so peaceful.

I liked Key West and we had a great time for the few days we were there, but I don't think I would run back. Our hotel was really nice, but I thought the scene was a little sleezy. For example, our first night there we saw a couple off of the main street and she was pleasing him, if you know what I meanChat Icon

ETA: What about Cancun or another part of Mexico? I think the flight is about 4 hours and I thought the snorkeling was great there.

The travel time to get there and the expense. I want to go there, but I think it will have to be a longer trip in the future.

We just want to go away for a long weekend 3 nights/4days end of Jan, beg of Feb to a warm place with beaches, snorkeling, good restaurants and a short flight.
