okay moms, recommend a school for tumbling/cheer or gymnastics
for my 5 year old DD in the eastern nassau/western suffolk areas.
Does anyone know about New York Cheer in Deer Park?

Are you looking for all star cheer, or just cheer basic type classes? My DD went to Long Island Cheer and was on the tiny all star team last year. It is a great place! They are awesome there, and they really teach these girls to tumble, etc. 6 year olds doing layouts, it was amazing. Anyway, they are now offering teams at New Image Gymnastics in Brentwood (I think it's near the Deer Park train station in that complex). You might want to give them a call

we go to mid-island gymnastics, they do cheering too.
