Okay, so we are officially TTC now... but...
I am so nervous now! I do not know where to start! My cycles are pretty irregular.. so a gyno appt is definitely a must! But I am scared... I hate going to the doctor as it is.. but the gyno is the scariest to me by far.. lol.. I know I'm a wimp.. But help me girls!! Now that DH and I talked and both agreed it is time to seriously try I am scared shitttless! And I already have a child! How pathetic.. lol

tell me when your appt is and i'll be there. Please keep in mind - i'll be up by you and not down there playing catcher with the doc - if you don't mind :)
i'll tell you it's a piece of cake - but i think you know better....and i'd be flat out lieing. i'm in the middle of a nervous breakdown personally...

i actually went to my gyno - to kinda alert her that we were ttc. She ran some blood tests on me to make sure that i had some tests done (measles, mumps, etc) and I had - so i was given the all clear.
i'm actually wondering how long we wait before going to the doc for dave..to have his.....swimmers checked...

You can do that at anytime. We waited until 6 months I think. DH had it done by our regular PCP.

Do you have the dates of your most recent AFs? Maybe the 6 most recent?
That would be a good starting point. You can enter those into FF or mymonthlycycles.com and get a picture of when you ovulate and when to expect AF which can help you determine when to BD.
ETA: Honestly, I wouldn't start with charting right away. I think the OPKs are better to start off with. Don't get me wrong, I love charting now, but it's definitely an added hassle/stress to do every single day at the same time. I am glad I wasn't doing this the first 9 months!

You girls are TOO funny!
It's really very easy! FF does all the work for you.
All you have to do is wake up at the same time each day, take your temp, and enter the info into FF.
It does everything else! It will tell you when you O'd, when to expect AF, and will give you your coverline temp, etc. I swear it's not that hard!

hmmmm well, my periods are so irregular, i feel like FF is going to have a message pop up on my screen when i put my info in that says something like "WTFFF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" i get my period every few months.. sometimes more than just a few..

a VERY good friend of mine on LIW has the SAME THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think in her case it's stress related....i wish she would log on here...i'll mention to her that you and she are similar....maybe that'll be the push she needs!!!
