Okay twin mommies, what do you really, really need?

I am beginning to look at registering and am very overwhelmed! We live in NYC in a small 2 bedroom apt. I am hoping to only register for singles of some stuff and doubles of others.

So, what do you really need doubles of? What can you get by with singles of others?

TIA

These are things I COULD NOT live without and need 2 of.

2 swings
2 boppy pillows
2 infant to toddler rockers (HIGHLY recommned these over the bouncy seats)

I agree with boppy pillows and infant to toddler rocker. Also, 2 highchairs and 2 pak n plays if you will be going to other houses with them (they are too small for two). That is about all that we have of two. All toys and stuff we got in 1.

Definetly the infant to toddler rockers - lifesavers for me - we still use them and they are 18 months!

2 high chairs - we actually bought the ones that strap to the regular chairs - which is very convenient when you don't have a lot of space. You don't need them right away though.

We had 2 swings but I found I really didn't need 2.

2 cribs, although in the beginning they can share.

2 car seats.

Hope this helps:

2 high chairs
2 Papasans (DDs are 5 months and still in this) great for propping bottles especially in the beginning!
2 waterproof mattress pads
2 infant carriers
2 car seats
2 carseat toys - example:

2 Mobiles - DDs LOVE:

To save space get this:

I would love to tell you get 2 Exersaucers, but if you are limited to space get one. Honestly, we have one on each floor which means the girls don't use them at the same time and it's been working out ok.

Keep in mind (and I never realized this) is - you will retire some things as new things are brought out. You will retire the swing when the exersaucer or walker comes out, etc.

That's all I can think of for now. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Chat Icon

If you are limited for space. I would get

2 travel swings
2 bouncers that fold flat. i have the papasan.
(the graco windsor is pretty compact)
1 play mat
1 exersaucer (not necesary but they love them)
2 highchairs (but you could get the booster seats)
2 cribs.
2 infant carriers

Good Luck...I hope you have an elevator in your building. Chat Icon
