Okay...I think this is the final product for kitchen decor - please critique
After asking a ton of advice on here and flipping through magazines, this is what I finally came up with for the kitchen/diningroom.
Here is a pic of the color of my kitchen cabinets:
I'm thinking either BM Montgomery white for the walls: Or BM Mannequin Cream:
This Pottery Barn table and chair set
Either the PB Sabine drapes for the sliders in the dining room: Or PB Nob Hill Drapes:
These seat cushions:
And this chandelier (with burlap shades instead of these):
Okay...tell me your honest opinions. What you like, dislike, what matches and what doesnt. What you would do differently.

Is the table going into the kitchen or dining room? I think everything matches so well, and you did a great job. Love the drapes.

Well the kitchen is open to the diningroom, so kind of both.
Thanks so much! Which drapes do you prefer?

i love the dining set
i also love the chandelier but not for the room- i think its too much matchy brown.
id get white shades in a linen color- or do those cool wroght iron pendant like those hanging over the dining table in the picture
love the curtains...

Hmm...I hadn't thought about white linen shades. You're right...it might be too much matchy brown with the burlap shades. Thanks for the suggestion - I will try to find white ones!

i think you need a POP of color. it seems like a lot of brown. i really like everything you picked maybe just a green vase centerpiece or maybe an accent wall?

Thanks for the great suggestion! I was thinking of doing a green decorative bowl on the dining room table filled with lemons, along with several other things around the room (like roosters on the tops of the cabinets with red accents). Do you think this will be enough color?

I also think its too tan tan tan like my DH would say...lol--he says i'm tan obsessed. I'd love alot more green accents...like maybe same curtains in green, get green little lampshades for the lights...
I think it just needs an accent color, its too tan for me... Or even a darker paint. The colors you posted were very...fleshy? I'd love something more caramel toned.

I really like your choices! I love the Sabine drapes but do agree with needing a pop of color. I think the green vase with lemons you mentioned is a good idea and I really like the idea of an accent wall. Great job so far!

ITA. If you have 100% decided on the cabinet, table (i would pair with black chairs with rush or med wood color seat) and paint color I would rethink the window treatments, chair cushions and chandelier shades. Bring in some splashes of color. Maybe patterned drapes, stripe chair cushions and solid color shades. Accessorize with these colors as well.

The cabinet color is already there and we wouldnt change it for cost reasons. I'm not 100% set on the paint color though and I'm totally open to suggestions! My BF is not a huge fan of dark colors on the wall, which is why I went so light, but I do agree it's kind of fleshy.
I could do a striped cushion...I'll look around and see what I can find. The curtains I'm kind of in love with so I dont want to change those if I dont have to, but I could def change the shades on the chandelier too.
Any ideas on a different paint color or different chair cushions?
Thansk for the advice - I very much appreciate it!

JMO, but I was thinking the same thing--needs color. The drapes and the lampshades are good opportunities to incorporate color. ITA with PP about a vase or centerpiece...or the seat cushions. Plus I love organic sources of color like fresh flowers and hanging plants, bowls of fruit, bottles of oil & peppers, etc.

What about the PB Walker Stripe chair cushion. Subtle and flows nicely with the window treatment colors.

Yea I do like that a lot. I also wouldnt mind the Ivory Giorgetta Bird cushion. It's not stripe, but it does hae a pop of color.

Don't have time now but I will look more later. Remember that these small changes (chair cushions, chandelier shades, accessories) are only temporary (unlike cabinets and furniture) and can be changed if you grow tired.

I got a 15% off coupon in my email for Pottery Barn - it's for one time use. Let me know if you want it. I'm not planning on buying anything...
It's good through Aug 18th.
