Okay...I'm freaking myself out right now....

Last night at our co-op, we had Dh's cousin and girlfriend over (Jared's godparents) for dinner. While we were sitting at the table, DH's cousin jumped. His girlfriend asked him what was wrong. He swears he saw something black run from the hallway to under the stove in our kitchen. Of course, everyone is all freaked out and we're checking and listening to see if we can find anything. Nothing.

Well...this morning, as I'm on the computer, I jumped because, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something run from my kitchen to underneath the radiator. All I saw was a black blur.

I'm not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me or not but I couldn't sleep this morning because I kept thinking about what he "saw".

What do you think it could be? A mouse? I checked the floor for little mouse poopies and none of our cereal boxes are chewed. I don't keep any other food out and our garbage is emptied every night.

I'm so skeeved out right now, I'm sitting with my feet up off the floor!!!

you may want to pull out the stove and check to see if maybe there's a space where the gas pipe is...that's where he could be coming from. and you'll be able to see any poopies underneath the stove...(if you do have a mouse)...which i hope you don't.

I thought that we sealed the pipes when we redid the kitchen... We'll have to check again.

then it could be coming from the radiator. those suckers can sqeeze through the smallest of openings!! make sure you seal off any openings around the radiator pipes with steel wool...my dh took it a step further when we were living in our apt...he stuffed the holes with steel wool, then plastered it with cement. smoothed it out nice and even!!...didn't see a critter for years after that!!

Put a mouse trap under the radiator and the stove...my friend had ONE mouse in her condo...got him right away and never saw another sign of one.

If you put mouse traps out, use peanut butter. It seems to work better than cheese.
We had an incident 2 years ago in our old apartment and they were running all over.

I am terrified of them, so I really hope that's not what you saw.
