Okay...someone calm me down....

I am really having one of those breakdown moments.... I dont feel good, I just threw up on the floor and all over myself (TMI...sorry!)... between the morning sickness and the cold... I seriously cant take it anymore... and I dont wanna be pregnant anymore! I know, its a terrible thing to say... but I just feel so hormonal and crappy and sick and I just cant take it! And then getting laid off... I've been stuck in the house for 2 days sick! I am sitting here crying! Ugh... I hope you all dont think I'm gonna be a bad mom or that I'm a bad person... I feel like I'm having a nervous breakdown!Chat Icon

Im sorry that you are feeling so sick Chat Icon

Maybe you should consider talking to your doctor and see if you can take that pill that will help the m/s (like lipglossjunky). You know that will go away soon..hopefully.

The cold...I am sorry and not sure what you can take but you are home and need to relax and get better.

First of all...many Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to you.
I know, I've been there myself.
I was as sick as a dog with BOTH of my boys. I lost 40 lbs. with my first pregnancy and 25 with my second. Sick doesn't even begin to describe it.

But then, after the baby is born...I swear...you ALMOST forget the months of retching!!!

How many weeks along are you? Maybe it'll pass soon. I was sick all throughout, so I don't wanna give you the old, "by 3 months it'll pass" routine.

Just know, you are not alone. I counted down the days to my due date cause I thought I was going to die.

Your beautiful little one will be here before you know it, and then you'll be on to more aches and pains!!

Hang in there!Chat Icon

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

Thanks! I feel so terrible for even being this way especially when so many women try unsuccesfully to get pregnant, and here I am complaining about it. Ugh... I just want to feel like myself again! Or at least somewhat...ya know? Having all of your support really makes me feel better! My dr gave me Zofran, but I'm afraid to take it... I just dont wanna put another thing into my body... and I read that it really doesnt get rid of the nausea, just stops the vomiting, which I only do maybe once a day... the rest of the time its just gagging and nausea...

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

I know for myself, I didn't take any nausea medication...I was afraid.
The only thing that kept me alive during my first pregnancy were Tootsie rolls...I have NO idea why.
My second prenancy, the only food was salad.
I couldn't explain to you why for either craving...but seriously...I NEVER ate. It was so scary. I was nauseaus all the time.
So again, I totally know what you are going through. It's horrible and I feel for you.
Just keep reminding yourself of the big picture. Your baby is on it's way!Chat Icon

I'm so sorry that you feel so awful!! You are not a bad mom at all. I am sure it will get better. Try to take it easy and just take care of yourself. Tell Dh to get you some good movies, get on the couch or in bed and just veg out. Hang in there!! It will all be worth it in the end.

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

you are not a bad mom at all - its tough - everyone goes through periods like this, it is a lot to process and esp. not feeling well, it takes its tool on you!...our bean was so unexpected that it took me months (yes, months - I felt horrible emotionally b/c of this Chat Icon !) for me to be happy about it - I constantly faked it to everyone, even dh at times.... b/c I am a planner and it wasn't something that was supposed to happen right now...but it did and now I am excited....

how you feel can't be changed.....and you are not wrong or bad for feeling it! hang in there (like I said before!) and try to go one minute/hour/day at a time.....Chat Icon Chat Icon

It will pass....TRUST ME!
I had M/S so bad that I was hospitalized and had to have an IV in my arm and give myself treatments to keep me hydrated and also give myself medicine via IV for the nausea for 2 months....A nurse had to come and change the needle every 3 days AND I was still working.............
Your not going to feel yourself because your pregnant and something is growing inside of you...You need to relax because the anxiety will only make you feel worse..

Feel better

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

Iknow this is very hard to believe, but this WILL pass. And, don't feel guilty, I have felt the same as you and still do sometimes. I just want all the uncomfortableness (if that's a wordChat Icon ) to be over with! On the other hand, when I think of the alternative, I would much rather be uncomfortable while baby bakes so that he can be nice and healthy when he comes to meet me Chat Icon

I was there myself...I told the dr the same thing as you...I hated being preggo. But now I am so close and I feel much better then those MS days so please believe me the days will get better.
Drink ginger ale, eat peppermints, chew gum they all help a lil' bit.

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

have you tried natural ginger?
that works well- when I was really sick, i'd eat a few ginger snaps (make sure they are made w/ natural ginger)- and they took it right away
my doc said also ginger pills were good.

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

Oh how I feel for you Chat Icon The first trimester is tough enough with your hormones going haywire, and then having awful M/S on top of that can make you crazy. It is really one of the hardest times in your pregnancy... Chat Icon

you will get through this, even though right now that is the last thing you want to hear. There is nothing you just said or are feeling that most of us having thought, said or felt when we too went through this -- so you are not alone and this is the perfect board to vent on about it !

Hang in there, I hope you find some relief soon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

Don't feel guilty. I know I have wanted to pass this belly to DH a few times (and it hasn't even gotten big yet). Being sick and run down is no fun and having the pressure taking care of your child on your mind, doesn't help you recover.

Just take a breath and think of how cute your baby wil be. The round faces and big eyes usually have a way of melting all of usChat Icon

When I was preggo w/Damien I made my DH promise that he would be the only one!! But here I am getting ready to have #2. Once you get into the 2nd trimester and start to feel better, it won't be as bad. I promise.Chat Icon

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

I'm sorry you feel so cr@ppy. The first trimester can be really rough, but it does get better. Since you really are feeling so bad, you should talk to your Dr. I'm sure he can perscribe Zofran or something for the nauseau atleast.

Re: Okay...someone calm me down....

I know EXACTLY what you are going through.
It took me so long to finally get PG and I had such bad m/s I cried EVERYDAY at home and at work.
Im a teacher so being at work was TORTURE, and couldnt wait to get home and lay on the couch.
I felt the same way, I didnt enjoy being PG at first.
I promise you it will pass. It may not seem that way now, but it will get better.
