ok..before i call the dr and look dumb i
figured id ask you girls..well i think my dd has diarrea...it is greenish/brown and watery..is it something i should worry about? or is it normal...thanks

Is she breastfed? That sounds like a BF baby poo to me. Totally normal and let me tell you this...get used to it!!!

If it's watery, its probably diarrhea - Give a call to the doc! - It's always best when your not sure. You won't look stupid - Only like a concerned mom.

Have you changed her diet at all? When we put Katie in Alimentum thats what happens. Any change in formula could make that happen and if you're BF, any change in YOUR diet can make her poop change too.

actually i dont breastfeed and i didnt change formulas..in the beginning i did change to powder and she ended up being constipated..im going to wait for one more poop and make sure it was def. watery..then im going to call the doc.thank you all!!

Def call. My son is FF too and hasnt had a recent change but also has watery poops. Seems he may have a virus in his system and theres really nothing to do about it except let it run its course. Unfortunately the side effect can be (and is in his case) - diaper rash. Hopefully not in your case but I just wanted to warn you.

I just asked the doc about this today. My DD is breastfed and all of her poops are always watery (not formed at all -- totally absorbed by the diaper) but are always brown; never green. Doc said it sounds like a milk protein allergy. I have to now alternate the BM with Alimentum or lactose-free formula to see if that helps.
ETA: I would call your doc -- I wish I had called a month ago. I hate the thought of DD having trouble all this time and I just thought it was normal and it wasn't. DD could have been feeling much better all along, but I didn't call.
