OLAS???
I don't get it. I've applied to many schools on OLAS and not one phone call. Every resume that I mailed in...I have gotten in interview for. Do they even look at OLAS?

I think it's more about WHO you know, unfortunately.
the right last name / being at the right place right time, will get you the job faster than the best resume.
sorry, but that's what ive been hearing/seeing lately.

Remember too that with the budget cuts from Albany, many districts wait until after the budget votes in May before they do interviews. Budgets passing or not affects staffing in schools

Honestly I applied online like they said.. No paper applications accepted. Then I wrote a letter to the direction of speech and I got a call right away??? SO silly. I must have applied on OLAS 2 or 3 times.
