old Navy Flannel Shirt
I just got in the mail some ON flannel boyfriend shirts in tall ...I am 5'9" and like to wear them with leggings with my butt covered. Anyway I ordered large and XL. The large fits great .. a little loose ... great length. The XL looked of course bigger and looser.
Thing is I want to keep the large but afraid of it shrinking. If I keep the XL will it shrink to a good fit in the dryer? Do these shrink I put them in the dryer or will the washing machine alone shrink them?

They will shrink if you put them in the dryer. But I don't know if they will drink down a size evenly. I think they would most likely just shorten.
I have a few from last year. I wash them on cold gentle and then hang them to dry. I had no issues with them shrinking washing them that way.

You never know w/ old navy - Their TShirts are the absolute best (especially for my kids) b/c they NEVER shrink and I wash/dry them 5,000X But I feel like the women's clothing is always a crapshoot. -
I'd go w/ the XL

Old Navy quality in general lately is God awful so I'd just assume they would shrink

For women, I agree. I stopped buying from them until I saw this shirt and thought I would give it a try. I am SAHM so some things I wear are not top notch. I would splurge a little on work clothes for durability. I plan on going back in 3 years so do not expect what I buy to last for that long yet want to feel good about myself.

I would assume it would shrink in dryer. I got a tunic sweater and didnt realize it, so it wound up in the dryer. It shrunk and does t cover my butt as much anymore. I wash in cold water and hang dry.
