Old Paystubs for Mortgage qualification?
I was just about to shred last year's paystubs (except first and last for recordkeeping), but my friend said I would need ALL my paystubs from the last two years to qualify for a mortgage. Is this true?

No, not true. You need your w-2s from the previous years. The mortgage companies want your most recent paystubs from your current job.

If that were true, I don't know many people that would qualify for a mortgage, then! 
They just want to know your employment history (W-2s satisfy that), and that you are currently employed (last 2 or so checks satisfy that part)

Yep some places want four depending so just use a months worth.

Don't forget recent tax statements. Sometimes you need to provide those as well.

This is correct...just make sure you save all your paystubs that you are getting now....you'll need to keep providing the most recent until closer to closing
