older infants and napping

If your child used to nap three times a day - and now only naps 2 times - what are the times that they nap?

Also - did you notice a correlation between how many naps they took a day and how many bottles they take a day? (did they drop to three bottles when they dropped to 2 naps?)

Re: older infants and napping

Emily still naps 2-3 times a day, but it varies from day to day.

She's up at 6am, naps at around 8:30 for anywhere between a half hr and 2 hours.

Usually another nap at around 2

And sometimes ( this is the nap she often skips) around 5pm.

She's not very "scheduled" because her bottles also vary. I havne't noticed a correllation between naps and bottles.

Re: older infants and napping

Ryan still take 2-3 naps/ day.... pretty much still at the same time... however Im noticing his BIG nap is now the 1st nap whereas it use to be the 2nd or 3rd (whichever was the last nap of the day)

As far as bottles.... Ryan has been eating more bottles than ever before! he takes an 8oz bottle (he would never take that much) every 4-5hrs (so 4/ day)

The times are usually

(sometimes) an 8 o'clock nap for like a half an hour or so

one between 10-11

and another between 2-3

the last 2- one last an hour... the other lasts about 2 hrs....

Alex (14 months) has been napping around 9am and around 1:30pm. He gets up usually around 6:30 but lucky me he is still sleeping this morning. I have no idea why I am awake. He still drinks about 4 bottles a day. Averaging about 26oz of milk. Plus, he drinks water with lunch.
