The mayor of London actually was my favorite part of the whole ceremony! He was a hoot!
Really?
I was saying...couldn't they find a suit to fit him better? He looked so unkept.
Sorry, he didn't impress me at all.

Looked so unkempt!! I said to my husband, OMG look, they made Boris comb his hair! This is what he normally looks like, he cycles in to work everyday. This is what he NORMALLY looks like...oh, and he is actually a New Yorker by birth!
I wonder why this happens, but our feed of Leona Lewis singing was really clear as can be. Strange.

yes Really!!  He was hilarious! He looked so sloppy, and obviously had NO idea what he was doing.. and tried the flag waving thing for like 2 seconds before he realized he looked foolish and stopped.
By far the best part of the ceremony. We couldnt stop giggling!

Yeah, DH and I thought "Whole Lotta Love" was a strange song choice--nothing to do with the Olympics or London really. Maybe it's the mayor's favortie song?

I think its to celebrate the rich musical heritage of Britain. But what do I know...the whole thing was a bit odd. Did I say Britain, I mean LONDON. Because there is nothing outside of London you know.

DH and I REALLY enjoyed the opening ceremony. we said "WOW" a lot during those 4 hrs.
the closing ceremony was too much, too long, enough already. and that whole "show within a show" with the UK bit was awful! 
we shut the TV off right after Michael Phelps made his apperance in London.

I watched the closing ceremonies and I was amazed at the London Bus when they handed over the flag to show the games will be in London in 2012...I thought that was so cool

OMG I was sitting there thinking you are going to be on International television infront of your country and millions if not billions of people all over the globe and THAT is the outfit you choose with THAT God awful tie!
