Re: omg!! do you think this is going to work??
My DD is 7.5 weeks old and she is having colic bouts. The dr just recommended soy formula for her. I started it 2 days ago - no change yet but the dr said it could take up to a week to improve. DD is very gassy, fussy and spits up a lot - this is why he wants us to try the soy. Also, I needed soy as achild - they say it could be genetic.
I hope it helps - for both of our sakes!!

Ok, but what I don't get about recommending soy for a baby who's gassy is the fact that soy formulas can make a baby's gas worse from what I've read. So odd.

I agree..Nutrmigen worked for us. Either it was that or time that passed.

We had to switch a few times. We went from Enfamil Lipil to Prosobee (which made things worse for us) to Gentlease, which was our magic formula.

Re: omg!! do you think this is going to work??
My DS was very difficult early on also. He was very gassy and was in a tremendous amount of pain all the time. He needed to be held to ease the pain or else he would scream. I was breastfeeding, so I have no suggestions on formula, but wanted to add that his stomach problems straightened themself out and he is now very happy. I know this isn't the case for a lot of babies, but for DS, he just needed his stomach to mature.
Good Luck!!
