OMG! Is anyone watching True Life?
It is "I'm a Single Parent" and one of them is driving around with the infant seat turned the wrong way and putting a Stage 2 jar in a bottle and shaking it up and giving it to her

You know, I was passing by the tv when I saw that and thought to myself "now thats a car seat I have never seen before" She had the infant car seat turned forward?

You know, I was passing by the tv when I saw that and thought to myself "now thats a car seat I have never seen before" She had the infant car seat turned forward?
OMG!
I had to rewind it to make sure that is what it was!! And then right after I posted that, the baby drank some margarita!!
Now, you guys know I am laid back, but I was SHOCKED

i missed the margarite thing, but HOLY CRAP jarred baby food in a bottle?!?!?!
And it really seemed at first that all she was doing was trying to do better for herself...
i felt bad when her mom gave her a problem watching the baby to go to the library to do something good for herself...

I think MTV should get in trouble for letting this happen.. i know its True Life.. but theres to a point were you see something being done wrong to a child and dont intervene and just tape it your in the wrong too then.

The sweet potatos were mixed with the formula in the bottle...weird, but whatever works..

It wasn't the mother that gave the sip. She was actually upset with her mother (the grandma) that she was trying to give her table food earlier.

I agree with Summer. And I do know that one some MTV shows they have stopped really bad things from happening (like Ruthie on RW Hawaii driving drunk---yes, I watch too much reality tv!) but that was the producers.
I think the girl seemed nice and to love her child, but was just totally clueless. I need to watch the first half (I dvred it) to see more on the guy with the 6 kids.
Also that same woman had beads in the baby's hair

I felt so bad for the dad taking care of the six kids....and his ex was a complete idiot!!! 
I was so mad at that woman's mother - talking all loud when the baby was sleeping - it was like she had no regard for this little girl. And, asking her daughter if she was going to pay her for watching her daughter - for an HOUR. Give me a break. Pouring the sweet potatoes into the bottle made me throw up a little - that stuff is nasty on it's own - nevermind drinking it!
Oh - and that last girl - bugged the hell out of me. She got engaged and moved in with that guy - after what - a few months. Give me a break. Nice way to look out for your daughter.
And, I agree - MTV can only do so much. These shows are treated somewhat as documentaries - so they really can't alter it - though I hope that they would have someone come in after taping and tell the mom that the carseat was facing the wrong way etc.
And Kate - I'm an MTV junkie too! The producers have stepped in plenty of times when people were in harms way --I'll never forget Ruthie!

I agree, this is one that I hope they do a "where are they now" and I'd like to see if people told her about the car seat, etc.
