OMG, Most portrait Studios are booked!
Like, KK and Jcpenney's...argh. I havent tried Sears yet,..working on others but they also take time to come in.
1st time mom...see...I should of gone sooner!! 
I hope I get in SOMEWHERE!

Don't panic...I ran into the same thing but when I called KK in Massapequa on Saturday morning they were able to give me a same day appt...actually they gave me a few afternoon times to chose from.
Just call at 9am exactly!

Couldn't you have a friend take it for you? I actually haven't gone to a photo studio once. I wish I lived near by I would do it for you.

I probably won't have a problem getting an appt. I don't think - since I have no life and can basically take him anytime!

Also - Deb - if you are interested - there is a guy who is a photographer who will come to your house for $75.00 - spend an hour there - and then give you the CD of pictures. My friend uses him all the time - and he does GREAT shots!

I made an appt. this year, but you know what, the last two years, I just walked in off the street to KK the week after Thanksgiving. We went around 6pm-ish and there wasn't a soul there (College Point). So an appt. may not be necessary.

You can try and make an appt. online. That;s what we did.

When I called KK to make an appt for December, they told me they only make appt's for up to 2 weeks in advance. So I am calling back next week to book mine. There is still hope!

Thats what they told me too.. so just call at 9 am when they open 2 weeks before the date you want...does that make sense?

At KK, they don't book the whole day online or early, they leave some available for that day also.

I just called Sears TODAY and got an appointment for Wednesday, at the perfect time for me! Try Sears. I always liked them and KK the best!

Sears takes walk-ins and same day appt. They also have online appts which is what I used. Gotta love online!!!

KK only takes one appointment per hour two weeks in advance. For The rest of the day they take appointments that morning.

Kmart in huntington station has an Olan Mills studio. We went there a few months ago, the photographer was great.

I have an appt tomorrow at Sears and my DD took a fall yesterday and hit my hearth. She has a big back and blue on her face  I was going to reschedule but maybe I will just try some makeup

I don't understand how KK can take same day appointments and walk ins when they had the whole day up for appoinments online and only 15min apart (I went online at 5am to get and appointment 2 weeks in advance)!
The KK in Westbury has lots of open times left.
