OMG my friend has officially lost it!!!!
I have a friend who after my wedding became OBSESSED with the idea of getting married.
A little background info is that they are both really young.. have been dating for almost 5 years, and they were engaged at one point. They got engaged but didn't set a date or do any planning for a year. Then she broke up with him to be with some random guy and gave back the ring.
Maybe 6 months later they got back together.. minus the Ering.
She is OBSESSED with getting it back ( but with a "better" more expensive setting this time ) Every single holiday, anniversary, vacation, etc. she obsesses over how he better be doing it "this time" and she says this EVERY holiday that comes!!! This is all she has been talking about since well before my wedding in February!
She has another good friend who has been dating this guy for 2 years. They got engaged this past weekend and she has OFFICIALLY lost it!!!
She is LITERALLY planning for an Oct. 06 wedding without even being officially engaged!!! and the "groom" to be dosent even know
She is picking flowers, and has a list of halls she is going to start looking at next week, has the approx. date picked, thinking about favors and everything Now everytime I talk to her all she wants to do is talk about this imaginary wedding and its creeping me out and making me feel really uncomfortable!!! She even wants to hire me to help
ETA: Oh and her other friend actually hired me to plan her whole wedding with her since they both work alot and want to get married for Aug-Sept. 06 and they don't have much time. Now I have to hear my friend ( who is the MOH in this wedding) moan and groan and complain how this girl is "stealing" all the ideas she wants for her (imaginary) wedding!!!!!! She is actually REALLY upset over this!

OMG-
Your friend reminds me of my friends sister...
She had won a wedding on the radio... I cant remember where...it included all vendors..and 100 guests..
Well needless to say this girl "booked" this wedding for (06 or 07' I cant remember which year) meanwhile..her and SO arent even engaged...Talk about pressure

Re: OMG my friend has officially lost it!!!!
wow...my friend did something similiar, but took it one step further...
she went to the store, picked out an e-ring, and put it on her credit card! BY HERSELF!
Booked a hall, a photog, and even bought a $2000 gown that was custom fit for her.... the "engagement" lasted less than 6 months.
They're not even dating anymore, 'cause overdid her dose of CRAZY.

Re: OMG my friend has officially lost it!!!!
One of my friends did the same thing. Had everything ready and was just waiting for the ring...people were shocked that she threw everything together so quickly. Little did they know she had put deposits down 8 months ahead of time and had already picked out the dress.

I think this si what FH's cousin's new wife did. they threw together tis elabroate wedding in 9 mos, but at the rehearsal dinner, they mentioned how she was waiting so long for this ring, etc..so now I'm htinking maybe she had it all planned out

probably, my friend kept her planning very quiet. I worked with her, that is the only way I knew. She had it at El Caribe. She had been to so many weddings, she knew exactly what she wanted. Her only fear was that his family was so pro Russo's on the Bay, that she thought that was going to start something, but his family went along with El Caribe.
