OMG my Nipples
If anyone has any advice, tips or whatever please share. I think she's getting a good latch and I am using the lansinoh but they are chapped to the point of being scabbed.

Re: OMG my Nipples
Ask your OB/GYN for a prescription for "APNO" cream. (All Purpose Nipple Ointment). It helped me a ton when lansinoh wasn't enough.

Re: OMG my Nipples
When that happened to me I was told to express some milk and rub into nipples. Once that air dried I would then put on t he lansinoh. Cleared up the blisters pretty quickly. But if you are not sure about your latch see a lactation cosultant. It sure helped me.
Good luck

Re: OMG my Nipples
My mom was a LLL leader for like 30 years and SWEARS by tea bags. Make a cup of tea, save the tea bag, and when it cools down put it on your nipple. She said it works like a charm every time.

Re: OMG my Nipples
You could try a Medela Nipple Shield. They sell them at Target. I had to use one in the beginning because my daughter had such a strong latch. It helped a ton and I never had any problems once we both got more comfortable.

Re: OMG my Nipples
If you wear nursing pads, try the First Years lanolin treated disposable pads. They worked better than the actual Lansinoh for me.

Re: OMG my Nipples
My lactation consultant told me to soak my nips in saltwater before putting on the lanisoh... in about a day the blisters were gone!

I think a lactation consultant is in the very near future. I am hurting so bad and I think I am having positioning/latching issues and she's getting too much air.
