OMG.. Nathan has worms in his poop!!!!!!!! * UPDATED*
My DH noticed it this morning. I dont understand how? Hes on the Science Diet- even his treats are science diet, so it cant be from his food!! I was freaking out this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called the emergency vet # and I'm going to take him later tonight.
I was in tears leaving him this morning to come to work.- There was no way I could have taken off. I'm going to try to get out of here ASAP. My poor doggie. How could this have happened???
Has this happened to any one of your pups?

Thank you everyone for all your help & advice. I took Nathan to the vet yesterday. It turns out that he had hookworms. Like most of you said, the vet told us that worms are extremely common in young puppies & kittens. Nathan contracted in at birth through his mommy. He took some meds yesterday so he should be all better soon. (Thank goodness!!)
You know its amazing how attached you can get to a pet. I was thinking about him all day yesterday. He's like my baby. Now I totally see why people treat there animals like their own kids.

Maybe he ate something outside?

Was he around other dogs? He may have eaten poop. Our dogs recently had an intestional issue that comes from rodent poop Our vet thinks they ate squirrel poop in the backyard

he could've gotten it from licking up crumbs that were left on the floor... or even just licking up dirt... it's so easy for dogs to get tape worm... nothing to worry about esp. if you're going to take care of it. Hugs to Nathan

Thank you!! This is the only thing I can think of!!! I never had a puppy, so this is all new to me.

Thank you!! This is the only thing I can think of!!! I never had a puppy, so this is all new to me.
I love my doggie.
OMGOSH! He's sooo adorable! I love that face and he has really beautiful coloring.

Visible worms (looks like bits of rice?)are usually caused by a parasite that they get if they eat a flea. Please take him to the vet asap & bring a stool sample!
(My nekkid dog - the one with no hair, got this type of parasite after spending an hour at the dog run.....amazing hwo quickly they can pic things up!)
 that he feel better soon!

Get it checked ASAP. Last summer we thought there were worms in Oscar's poop. We had it checked and it turned out to be seeds that he was eating from a tree in our yard. It even looked exactly like an online photo of worms in a dog's poop!!!!!

Awwww...poor puppy!!
How long have you had him, he could have had them already and they just showed their creepy worm faces.
Either way, you are taking care of it so your cute little puppy will be fine soon!!!
