OMG She slept all night....
Again I have learned not to get excited when my daughter does something like this because it can change at any moment but WOW it was so nice not to bounce her for an hour to get her to sleep only to have her wake up a few hours later and sleep with me.
She fell off around 10:15 or so and woke up at 6:10am. I was in bed around 11pm and I feel refreshed this morning.
We'll try this letting her put herself to sleep thing again tonight. I am also going to do it at naptimes because I really can't keep up this bouncing thing especially since it doesn't put her to sleep very quickly anymore

She definitely fussed but didn't really cry so I was able to handle it. I was just at my wits end with our bedtime routine so I said to DH just put her in there awake and we'll see how she does. Naptime this morning she didn't really fuss but she only slept about 1/2 hour. She's in there awake right now but not crying so I am waiting to see if she's done napping or something just woke her up.

Re: OMG She slept all night....
Did you give her the last feeding right before you put her in the crib, or did you wait a little while? Problem is, Alex always falls asleep when nursing, so I'll put her down and then she'll wake up 30 minutes later hungry because she didn't eat enough the first time. This happens about 2-3 times before she gets enough milk and goes to sleep.
Was she sleepy when you put her in the crib, or wide awake?

She last nursed around 8pm. I offered her a bottle at 8:30-8:45 because I knew I didn't have much milk when she nursed but she didn't want it so we started our bedtime routine of bouncing her to sleep. After putting her down and having her wake up I was getting fed up so we put her down wide awake you could say. I am reading Secrets of the Baby Whisperer which has some helpful thoughts on sleep. I am also waiting for the Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Baby book to come. I had no idea how clueless I could be. I am just glad she didn't really cry because hat would have been the end of it for me.
