OMG...how many times can a child hit their head before they get some kind of damage?
DS just fell AGAIN. DS likes when you grab his arms and he leans back like he is going to fall...my dad didnt know this and went to pick him up and DS put out his hands and leaned back and fell right on his head on their wood floor. He is fine...but how many times is this kid going to hit his head and HARD.
First time was when he was 2 1/2 mo. and rolled off the bed onto my wood floor, he took a few good spills on our tile floor, the other day DH was mopping and he was running around (dont ask...I had no idea DH was mopping ) and he slipped and smacked the back of his head on the tile floor, another time DH was letting him jump on the couch and he fell back and smacked his head on a wood coffee table and now this.
I am VERY lucky that he has never lost concious or had a concussion or any side effects but I am worried...how many times does he have to hit his head before he gets some kind of damage????? He is not a clumsy kid either...just wierd, freak things that happen to the poor guy. I wish I could put a helmet on him or keep him in a bubble!

I'm so glad you asked this question. DS is only 4 months old and has hit his head on the wall a few times. I'm so worried. DH always says I'm gonna make him dumb :( he's mean

I am convinced DS's head is like a rock b/c he has only gotten a bump once when he hit his head on the coffee table
I just get sooo incredibly worried...but I guess it hasn't effected him yet. I told DH NO FOOTBALL!!!

This is DS too! My family we all have large heads (its okay you can laugh! ) My brothers, myself, my dad, my nephew now DS. His head is like 97th precentile...so we all say he is top heavy because he is constantly hitting his head. He has taken falls on to concrete from about 8-12 inches high, rolled off a 12 inch deck, walked into walls, etc. He barely cries but I think years have come off my life from watching these falls in slow motion!
DH keeps telling me how smart DS is but that if he keeps hitting his head we are jepordizing that! I thank God for hard Irish heads

DD is a bit of a head banger (in frustration) which scares the heck out of me. I discussed it with her ped yesterday, and she said not to worry about it - that DD is not doing any damage beyond the visibale bruise.
