On high alert
Are you dogs more protective of you when you are home alone? DH was working the overnight shift the other night, and Denver and Holden, who normally sleep in bed with us, were on high alert the whole night. They investigated any noise, barked at the door if there was too much wind, and were totally looking out for me. How cute are they...

Both of our dogs are very alert...they check out every noise...I def feel good having them in the house!

No, lol...Casey has slept through both DH and I coming home from work... On the other hand, we call my cat TJ a watch-cat because he prowls the house during the night on the lookout.

If DH isn't home...Misty will get up at every loud noise, but she doesn't really bark unless she hears people talking. If DH is home, she is under the covers with us and will sleep through an earthquake.

both sophie and owen police our house no matter who is home. they bark and growl at the slightest noise. i think they think they're doberman pinschers
