On to real food!!
This past week, I've been giving Jared white american cheese, YoBaby Yogurt and pastina mixed into his meats, fruits & veggies to get him used to textured foods. He's been doing a great job...no gagging at all.
What are some other things I can feed him at 8 months? The doctor didn't give me any other ideas than the ones above.
TIA!!

Connor is a little bit older but eats eggs, all kinds of pasta, pancakes, I even give him little bits of chicken and he loves all of it.

Re: On to real food!!
I give Alex munster and swiss cheese and banannas. Gerber puffs are really great because they disslove pretty quickly. You could also try mashed potatoes.
ETA - Alex is so interested in our food now. I give him just about everything to try. Cut into small pieces. My dr said no eggs until 1 year but I think that is a bit old, but I am waiting.

Jack eats puffs, banana cookies from beech nut, animal crackers, doritos (dh's idea), turkey and chicken slivers, today he tried some breaded veal, bread, fruit cup, pastina, eggo frozen mini waffles and pancakes, sugar free ice pops, avacado, taco meat, cherrios, special K, bagel pieces,... etc
My boy loves to eat @ 22lbs 29inches Edited to add.. He loves Nutri Grain Bars!

Re: On to real food!!
I have "What to Expect the first Year" and it has a whole thing written out in the 8th month. If you don't have the book let me know and I'll type it out for you. There are a lot of suggestions.

Re: On to real food!!
Parenting magazine just had an article on the healthy options...
I know avocado was on the list. I'll look at it tomorrow & post then. Until them just feed him avocado...
