I know they grow like weeds in the beginning but once they hit toddler sizes how long do they usually last in them? Six months? A year? Just wondering if it is safe to buy summer clothes in 2T since she just went into them.

I would love to know the answer to this one too. I will say that DS is 17 months and wears 24 month/2T tops and just starting to wear 18-24 month pants. I purchased 2T pants and 3T shirts for the summer) for him on sale this week. I also got him a 2T pair of swim trunks.

Both my kids were in a T size for about 1 year - meaning a fall/winter season and a spring/summer season.... So if she just went into 2T, I would think 2T is fine for this summer. I also try to size according to where I buy the clothes because some brands are notorious for running small or shrinking a lot when you wash!

Thanks! I got so used to buying the next size up that I wondered when it levels off.
I also saw some things in the LLBean catalog that were a little more than I usually spend and I said I would buy things if DD could wear them for a year but not if she would outgrow them in a few months.
