One day trips with a 18 months old
DH and I have off this week and would like to do a one day trip with Chelsea. Does anyone have any suggestions? We looked into Seasme Place but still think she is a little young.

Really? I looked on their website and most of the rides were 42". What did you do there?

We went on several rides and they also have the sprinkler pool, bouncers, the parade, the shows, lunch with the characters. So much. ETA: Big Bird Balloon Race Big Bird Court Ernies Bed Bounce Mix and Match Twiddle Tracks Carousel Flyin fish Grover's Whirl Twirl
Alof the rides say 42 inches, but your DC can go on with you. We did almost every ride there.

Seasame might be a little much for a one day trip - there and back - but if you can swing a hotel - you might want to try crayola factory in easton - there is also the leigh valley zoo.
as far as one day trips - on long island riverhead aquarium bronx zoo is free on wednesday (i think)

Re: One day trips with a 18 months old
Just did a one day trip to Sesame yesterday and DS is a few days shy of 19 months and he had a blast! It was very busy though. I'll post pictures later DH & DS went on the rides together. It took us about 2 hours to get there and an 1 1/2 to get home.

Re: One day trips with a 18 months old
DS is 18 months, and we're trying to look for things closer to home so we can go early and get home around naptime (he really doesn't sleep outside of his crib). I wouldn't do Sesame Place myself at this point since so many rides are not okay for him yet and it's a long trip.
Depends where you live, but we are thinking:
Beach LI Children's Museum Queens Zoo (need to look into this) or Bronx Zoo Coney Island aquarium

DD was 18 months last summer. We went to the Bronx Zoo, the beach, the Aquarium etc. We thought about going to Hershey, but never got around to it.
