One more thing--Metformin question
Any of you that have taken or are taking Met--did you modify your diet in any way? One of the other teachers at school said her daughter was on it, and was getting violently ill anytime she'd ingest ANY sugar.
Thanks all!

I had to modify my eating habits, although lately I've been bad about watching what I eat. I had cut out all sugar before I had even known about Met, but after starting the Met, I had to be really careful about what I ate because if I didn't, I had better be very near a bathroom Everyone is different though. I did manage to lose almost 30lbs though! Before the Met, nothing I did would help me lose weight.

Re: One more thing--Metformin question
I didn't. My stomach is not the best sometimes, especially if I eat something really sugary, but I still eat ice cream, cookies, etc. I am not overweight, I don't know if that makes a difference. But really life on met hasn't been all that bad. I am looking forward to life without met again though.

Re: One more thing--Metformin question
I had to adjust my diet to a good carb/low fat. I was still able to eat pizza just only one slice instead of 3 . I ate Dreamfields pasta and still do now that I am off the Met because it is just healthier. I still ate ice cream but had to watch my candy intake. I ate fruits and veggies and had no issues with those. But one warning is it may make you kind of lactose intolerant. I was able to eat ice cream without a problem but if I ate ricotta cheese I was running to the bathroom . It was trial and error for me but well worth it. Especially sine I lost a lot of weight (25-30lbs) and got pregnant. Good luck

Re: One more thing--Metformin question
Thanks so much, girls--I'm still getting up the nerve to take that first pill...
...I think I may wait until AFTER Friday's plane ride, just in case.
