one more thing- wwyd?
baby 2 coming in 2 months- hannah slept with us until about 4 months, then starting taking all naps and stuff in the crib, and then we let her CIO and she started sleeping thru the night and no nursing sessions by 7 months...
this baby- should i just let her sleep WITH us the same amount of time (4-5 months) and set the crib up in OUR bedroom until she is sleeping thru the nite- then move the crib in with hannah? i remember hannah waking and crying and stuff until she learned to put herself to sleep- i DEF dont want to wake hannah and ruin her amazing sleep- i also remember changing hannah in the nite once until about that 6 month mark, so i know i will be doing the same for her sister....
this sounds logical, right...??
would u do the same if u had 2 that had to share the same bedroom....??

I would keep her in my room until she hits about 3-4 months & is sleeping through the night.
But stick to the 4 month mark if you can. It's all too easy to let the last one linger a bit longer & create the sleeping habit where they need you next to them to sleep.

I totally agree! Keep #2 in your room as long as you can. You know if your dc is sleeping in the crib you could probably push it even longer. Since dc's going to have someone in the "new" room as well it may not be as hard a transition.

I agree with PPs. Also, maybe let the baby take naps and such in the crib so it isn't a foreign environment when you put him/her in to sleep for the night. We did this with DS, and really had no trouble transitioning him to his crib at 3 mos. I think being used to it helped.

Re: one more thing- wwyd?
I do have 2 girls that share the same bedroom They are 14 months apart.
I kept the little one in my room til we were confident she'd sleep through the night and put herself to sleep like her older sister. We put them together when my youngest was around 8-10 weeks old.
it was VERY hard in the beginning, they have to get used to each other noises, crying etc. But once they do, it's sooo much better. I think they would have to do that whether you put them in at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months.
Now they go to bed either at the same time or within 10 mins of each other, and sleep through each other crying, nightwaking, moving, breathing and I love hearing them talk to each other on the monitor every morning
ETA: Both girls took naps in their cribs from Day 1. My younger one was only in our room for nighttime.
