One of my favorite things to do when I'm home alone is...
to set myself up on the couch with everything I could possibly need so I don't have to move I pull the ottoman up to the couch, get my blanket, remotes, phone, cell phone, drink and a magazine, then I don't move for anything. Well, accept the baby crying, but let's pretend that's not a possibility tonight

The only time I'm alone is when I'm sleeping and that's most definitely my favorite thing to do.

light a ton of candles, put on a nice (relaxing) CD and just hang out in a CLEAN place... I can only truly relax when everything is DONE so i'm really at peace when the laundry, cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, etc is DONE!  So either music or TV- i like to watch the travel channel or oprah... yay!!
ETA: and a nice glass of pinot doesn't hurt!

This describes me perfectly!! Oh, and candles are lit. We can add the baby part later Jan/early Feb.

That's my routine every night, minus the baby, and I don't need to be alone to do this!

I love doing this.I don't have a DH and my "babies" are grown..but It's just the best way to unwind after I get home!

i also, cannot relax until everything is done. but when it is, and i can snuggle up on the couch with my puppy (he's my baby for now) and watch whatever i tivo'd - i'm a happy girl
